I was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts from VCU in 2011 in Painting and Printmaking with a minor in Sculpture and my Master of Art and Design in 2022 from NC State University with a focus on User Experience. I have a Career Certificate in Computer-Aided Design and am currently working on another Career Certificate in Web Development.

Jack of all trades, I have worked in cabinetry, construction, customer service, web development, graphic design, project management, and exhibition space management. My artwork has been exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions in Richmond, VA, and is held in the collection of numerous individuals and organizations including Capital One.

Professionally, I have served as the Project Manager for 1708 Gallery's InLight Richmond from 2012 to 2015, I was the Gallery Assistant of Reynolds Gallery in 2015, and was the Gallery Coordinator and Operations Manager for 1708 Gallery from 2016 to 2020. Recently, I was the Graduate Extension Assistant at NC State Library’s Innovation Studio from May 2020 to August 2022.

I am currently the User Experience Designer at Virginia529 overseeing the design and development of the websites for three main brand products— Virginia529, RetirePath Virginia, and ABLEnow— as well as smaller projects and design needs. I work on every step of the design and implementation process including conducting user research to identify pain points, designing solutions for a better customer experience resulting in increased customer conversion, and finally helping to develop the products under the Senior Web Developer.
